REPORT AIRCRAFT NOISE

Aircraft-noise complaints are received and managed by Centennial Airport through its official reporting system. CACNR helps residents understand the process, reviews complaint information, and provides a forum for discussing community concerns, but it does not operate the official complaint system.

IDENTIFY A FLIGHT

Centennial Airport’s WebTrak system allows residents to review aircraft activity around the Airport and can help identify flights associated with a particular time and location.

If you are trying to determine which aircraft passed over your neighborhood, checking WebTrak before submitting a complaint may help you provide more accurate information.

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT A COMPLAINT

Providing clear details helps Centennial Airport review and document the reported event.

When possible, include:

  • Date of the event

  • Approximate time

  • Location where the noise was experienced

  • Aircraft information, if known

  • Whether the activity was recurring

  • Any other details that may help identify the flight or operation

  • Complaints must be submitted within one week of the event.

  • Name, phone number, and email are optional.

  • Complaints submitted through third-party platforms are invalid and will be discarded.

  • Complaints about aircraft not associated with Centennial Airport are not recorded.

  • Submissions containing profanity or threats will not be accepted.

  • You'll get a response only if one is requested.

Complaints should be submitted through Centennial Airport’s official reporting channels so they can be included in the Airport’s noise-management records.

WHAT IS CACNR’S ROLE?

CACNR does not control aircraft, airspace, flight paths, or federal aviation procedures, and it does not operate Centennial Airport’s official noise-complaint system.

CACNR brings community representatives, Centennial Airport, aviation stakeholders, and public agencies together to review aircraft-noise concerns, discuss available information, and develop recommendations that may help reduce impacts on surrounding communities.

WHO CONTROLS AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS?

The Federal Aviation Administration has federal authority over the national airspace system, aircraft operations, flight procedures, and aviation-safety requirements.

Centennial Airport operates Airport facilities and programs, maintains official noise-management resources, and receives official aircraft-noise complaints.

CACNR provides a collaborative public forum for discussing aircraft-noise concerns and recommending possible courses of action.
